The hermitage of Holy Barbara is placed to the north of the population and from her there is contemplated one of the Alcañiz's most beautiful sights. Initially there was dedicated to El Salvador, which explains the pilgrimage that is carried out on August 6, holiday of the Transfiguration. It seems to be that one of his former altars was dedicated to Holy Barbara and that progressively it was increasing the worship towards holy this one, in such a way that it finished for be imposing and left in a background the Salvador. The construction is of an alone ship divided in five sections by means of arches pointed diaphragms and with cover to double slope. It has polygonal head-board with vault of nerves.
