  • The Tourist Office is located on a subterranean area which can be visited going down a narrow staircase totally excavated in rock. This rectangular plan cellar leads to two narrow passages. One of the passages leads to the street “Calle Mayor”. The other passage leads to an impressive medieval chamber which used as a fridge. This second passage is located under the square and it is 20 metres long by 4 metres high and 4 metres wide. It is believed that in this chamber snow and ice were kept during the winter to preserve food. Two passages leading to the streets “Calle Mayor” y “Calle Alejandre” give onto this chamber. This important subterranean site of a great touristic and historic attraction may constitute the beginning of an outstanding tour around the city.
